Why do so many people get offended when you say you don’t want kids?! Like I’m sorry, but I don’t understand how what I do or don’t do with my body is anyone else’s business

to me i think it’s cuz we see too many ppl who don’t want kids make it seem like having kids is the worst ever. i want kids, idc if others don’t that’s their business and choice, but when i say i want them, suddenly im a horrible selfish person that just doesn’t want to die alone, so it’s like ppl are just doing the reverse, if that makes sense? NOT JUSTIFYING IT BTW

Yes! Like I’m kind to every child I come across cause the world sucks and they deserve being treated like humans but I DO NOT want any of my own

no i’m saying that’s what ppl say is the reason i want kids, but that’s not the reason why. i don’t care for dying alone. kids don’t guarantee that

I did actually have an ex who started getting aggressive with me when I told him I don’t want kids and he started going on about how I was threatening his family/blood line and told me “if you want to die alone be my guest” so it’s not unheard of for some to have kids just so they’re not alone. But I do understand that doesn’t apply to everyone

i get that. while i want kids, im not gonna have them if i cant give them a good life. parenting isn’t for everyone, and there’s nothing wrong with that. it’s great that you know that it’s not for you.
