Why would ppl need to be posted? My gf and i dont have any socials (besides my yikyak) i dont see how itd be hurtful to not get a social media recognition?

I mean either way im not sure if i get it, why would it be important to be posted on your partners socials? Is it like a performance thing to show other people that yall love eachother or what? Im not trying to judge i genuinely just dont get it
