It’s so dismissive/ invalidating. I legit decided at the age of 12 that I NEVER want kids. I’m now 24 and have never even slightly changed my mind. I have never had baby fever or maternal instincts. I’m also somewhat gender nonconforming and quite possibly have high functioning autism, so having kids sounds like my own personal hell. I have absolutely 0 desire to have kids. Like objectively speaking there are more cons than pros

Who cares if it’s dismissive and invalidating if it’s a choice you made for yourself? If that makes it feel invalid then either you made the choice primarily for the sake of how others perceive you, or you made the choice for yourself but are unsure of it.

I definitely am not just going to avoid having kids bc of how others perceive, me I just meant that’s frustrating to talk to some ppl about it sometimes. I genuinely do not want kids regardless of what others say. And let’s be clear I’m not fucking unsure about it.
