Yes, because why would they care about Mary more? She birthed the son of God. That is an amazing thing, but Jesus is the son of God and God is GOD??? Mary didn't die on a cross to save all of humanity from their sins. I'm not saying she isn't important, I'm just saying it makes sense to put God and Jesus above her.
