possible explanation: my gf has RICH friends and they buy her stuff all the time i could never afford, he might feel bad about that. me personally, we just both enjoy the nice things they get her 😂 I know a letter from me means more to her than a thousand dollar camera from her friend. my guess would be he's just insecure about the financials of it.

Getting her a box set of her favorite show for Christmas because she's gonna make him watch it with her and matching socks. He can fuck around, but after reading the comments and doing my own research, he's gonna find out because no one makes my friend, who helped me through depressive episodes and when I was suicidal, feel like she doesn't deserve nice shit.

I work a full and part time job while also being a college student. Money is tight for me also, but I'm also capable of going to a thrift store and finding something she would like. He didn't even get her a gift for her birthday. And granted, maybe it is hard for him rn, but cards are $1 at dollar general. That would have been enough for her to smother him with kisses. But he didn't get her anything.

I highly doubt she would do that! And even if she did, it would never be to make him feel bad. She's the type of person to feel like she's killed someone when she steps on your toes on accident.
