then when i took climate science for educators last semester we did an ocean acidification lab where we made different solutions that represented ocean water then left sea shells in there to see how they’d be affected by the acid then discussed how the rise in acidity affected the organisms that live in the ocean

Worked in conservation for a couple summers, not my favorite lesson but something that I think is important and that is holding a lot of people back: we can’t save everything, we’re past that point. There are tradeoffs that need to be made for us to move to a better climate future, like offshore wind vs whales, solar and lithium batteries vs mining, and we have to accept that these trade offs will be expensive
