Got approved to adopt a baby guinea pig today!!!! We have a single pig right now and we can tell she needs a buddy. I am so so happy and so excited to get her

Kova loves to just hop up on her snail. They’re still getting used to living with us so still skittish to be held, but they wheek like crazy and Kiri gives me nose boops every day. I love my girls

Bonding is going well! They had such a successful first meeting that they were put together very fast. They get into very mild kerfuffles here and there but nothing that’s caused concern. We took in the older one from an elderly woman so she’s still getting used to living with us, but the baby is happy as a clam:)

They’re so cute. I didn’t think I’d end up with them

Awesome! I’m sure you know this, but general guidelines are that once they can go half an hour with no dominance behaviors (mounting, chasing, rumblestrutting, etc), they’re good to go in together! And separate for at least an hour and try re-introducing them if they draw blood or pull fur

Yep! We’ve been watching them closely:) I appreciate you making me sure I’m in the loop! We didn’t see any of those behaviors. The baby would sometimes follow our oldest, but it didn’t seem like “chasing.” We still keep a close eye on them even though it’s been close to a month
