Yesterday, my cousin got shot in the face by his friend. He is in the hospital sedated rn, currently holding on by a thread. If he wakes up, it’s most likely he will be perma paralyzed w/ brain damage. I’m not religious but send thoughts and prayers 🫶🏾

Clearly not, but I mention friend as a relationship identifier, pointing out how it wasn’t a random person and that they considered themselves friends before. We do not know the exact story of what happened, but in an area of my home city where unrelated casualties in gun violence happen very often, this specific case happened to include that person, which makes it seem much much more intentional. I say friend for identifying clarification purposes

Chances are not zero, but my cousin is 21 years old with proper gun training. I don’t know about the other 21 year old, but I know for a fact that my cousin knows how to act around a gun
