not really “views”, it’s just historically accurate. you can’t just take a book written specifically for political propaganda (the new testament) and treat it as factual evidence lol.

I think it’s a stretch to call the New Testament purely political propaganda. Even many secular historians treat parts of it as valuable historical sources, even if not everything is literal. There’s room for nuance between faith and history

yes, secular scholars treat it as the most complete record of early christian thought + philosophy as well as first-person accounts of a very specific set of jewish social reformers (jesus and his “apostles”, thought that word wasn’t invented until the council of nicea hundreds of years later. there are certain parts of the new testament, specifically in regards to roman law and tax policy, that are very relevant as historical records. no secular scholar treats the new testament as factual.

I hear you. I’m not trying to debate history or scholarship, I just wanted to share my faith and spread God’s love but I can respect that we see things differently.

point being that there is literally zero accounts or evidence outside the bible of jesus being divine, performing miracles, or even claiming to be the son of god. all of that was invented to create a popular sociopolitical movement to resist roman authorities, and it completely worked. the christian “holy roman empire” was the most powerful entity on earth not too long later

Just like any “theory” you will find people arguing strongly on both sides but I do believe God is real and some examples could be Lot’s wife turning into a salt pillar, finding the arc, or even peoples testimonies of them passing and experiencing heaven or hell just to wake back up in their own bodies. There are some crazy stories you should watch some. But my point is, my religion isn’t based on “proof” it is based on faith and relationship that you can’t just imagine to be real but can feel

ok i mean you’re spreading fiction and fairy tales so idk what you expect. if I was on here going “Xenu loves you and may our alien overlords bless you”, I wouldn’t expect people to treat that as a valid belief.

you just named a bunch of fairy tales. do you know how many “testimonies” of alien abduction and UFOs are out there? is that evidence that aliens are real and kidnapping humans? also, “finding the arc” is literally a plot from Indiana Jones, not something people seriously do in real life.

You clearly know a lot about Christianity but my question is, if you know so much, why not give it a try or even just some more research? People have real life and spiritual encounters with Jesus every day. You could claim every one of them is a liar or you could choose to believe that but my point is that there are many people who have had very very similar experiences. Too many to be a coincidence. Things that happen to people when they call on Jesus that can’t be explained without supernatural power being involved.

and just fyi, we’ve had extremely precise measurement tools, high-tech scientific instruments, constant recording and surveillance around the world, and there has not been a single instance of literally any kind of unexplained phenomena. nothing outside of peoples’ words.
