It was a planned famine of Yemen. It is a desert country. 90% of food was imported. In 2014, the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia instituted a blockade of Yemen’s airports and seaports. More than 400,000 people, mostly children, starved to death. Hundreds of thousands more have stunted growth.
