im sorry about your fish :( if you decide to get another one, bettas thrive best in at LEAST 5 gallons with a heater and live plants, if you dont want live plants silk plants are another fantastic option :)

If you see point was made and OP engage with their comment, why keep reiterating same point? Other comments actually offered helpful advice and suggestions. Reflect on that

Research an animals housing requirements properly before putting them in a puddle that will lead them to a premature death. Fish nice. Bowl is bullshit.

The point was I didn’t take care of him like that, she does. I don’t think we are going to get another fish.

So was it your fish or your mom’s?

no filter, no heater, no enrichment (live plants, tank mates) probably no water dechlorinator. the equivalent of you being put in a tiny 5x5 bathroom with a single meal your whole life. bette deserve so much more than what we give them, they are intelligent and unique little guys

Let’s not keep further piling on OP, clearly there may be some improvements to be made for future fish pet but that’s not the point of the post! OP’s fish was pretty and we can just stick to that. Why is everyone continuing to post the same comment under this point??

Don’t worry, I addressed the main point in my comment. Fish nice. But if everyone keeps saying something, maybe that’s something you should reflect on🤷

they do but they enjoy snails :) they get so curious like what's that moving rock doing? i've had betta get along with corrydora catfish & ghost shrimp before too, just gotta be a low profile tank mate that is smaller than them and has no visible fins (they find them threatening)

I have genuinely owned betas before and I owned all the stuff for them that the comments are saying. The fish lived with my mom after my freshman year, I still call him my fish bc that was what he was, I get their points but I just hate that instead of appreciating him and again the original point of the post of how pretty he was, everyone just says the same thing over and over about how I neglected my fish?? My mom had also owned beta stuff before, she put him in that I genuinely can’t say more
