I made my dad a setup guide for his new pc and now he got a password manager, a vpn, he switched to brave instead of chrome, DuckDuckGo instead of Google, he’s moving from Gmail to proton mail, he even debloated his OS and is using cloud backup So proud

You are objectively wrong, lol. Every source I find puts it just below Gmail, and only because of popularity, especially if you’re using a custom domain and have a paid plan for the rest of proton’s services (password manager, authenticator, vpn, AND cloud storage). And if you’re looking at security and privacy, it’s literally at the top of every list. Idk what you’re confusing proton for, but it’s not this. Stop trolling.
