Come prepared with conversation topics! You don’t have to know where the convo is gonna go, but at least have starting points. Made the mistake of not doing this last week and it was SO awkward at times when we couldn’t think of what to talk about. Also, idk if this is too specific, but don’t sit beside each other for a first date. Make sure you’re looking at each other, either directly or diagonally. Helps conversation flow better and you feel more connected
