I did that mainly by counting calories and measuring my portions – not so much starving myself but just being aware of how much I ate a day made a big difference

Find out how many calories you burn a day and eat less than that. An Apple Watch will help with that if you can afford it. I used to “mess up” by eating pizza and then be like fuck and eat the whole thing and then get McDonald’s the next day because “the diet is out the window”. Now if I eat a couple slices I’m like no big deal I’m still in a deficit for the day

There’s no secret, it’s just moving less and eating more. It’s 90% nutrition. I started tracking calories and making sure I was in a deficit. At first I wasn’t even really working out, just taking longer walks
