Unfortunately it’s not something that seems feasible. The nazi swastika has been permanently tainted as the most recognizable symbols of hate in the world. Reclamation won’t happen in our generation. It takes a very long time. I can’t think of any famous hate symbols that were fully reclaimed, and definitely not any as infamous as the swastika. The closest is the pink triangle and even that’s obscure.

The best we can do for now is call out hate when we see it, and refuse to stay silent about it. Bring it to people’s attention. Think about what may seem hateful or frightening to someone before you plaster it somewhere.
