Hell yeah!! If you're comfortable sharing your progress, feel free to post here so we can cheer you on! Side note, there's something so uncanny seeing alt fashion being curated, repackaged, and sold for cheap. It's the exact antithesis of what different alt subcultures are supposed to *be*

definitely search local crafting/quilting stores! now that joann’s is gone the small businesses can flourish

I get that but my career relied on Joann’s. Since I work in theater and on costume design and construction without Joann’s we are kinda in trouble

I’m a costume design major so I have a sewing machine and know how to sew, but I totally get that.

a majority of stores like that only offer that awful kind of cotton fabric and maybe a small selection of minky. small fabric stores might get a couple more customers but small clothing businesses will struggle

yeahhh i actually have no clue what to do, I’ve switched back to up cycling those $1 thrift shirts w stains or holes into patchwork clothes but it limits what I can do so much :( sometimes Walmart has good options tho! mine has a whole fabric section

lowkey i think a v neck with a little lace up panel in the front could be sooo cute and give you a similar strappy style but with more security👀
