is the cure considered a goth band? i know people who say they are and others who say they aren’t and i’m just wondering if they are a goth band

There’s no master list of ABSOLUTE goth ✅or❌ bands. Most people consider the cute goth because they helped INSPIRE the subculture in a huge way, but others argue that they themselves were never goth. So whether or not you choose to identify with the cure as a goth is up to you. Many do, others don’t.

Musically the cure isn’t the most goth-sounding band out there, but I wouldn’t get too hung up on specific tracks or and whatnot. Goth is not that serious in my opinion
