I made stuff out of thrifted curtains! And spirit halloween has over 50% discount after Halloween so I got a bunch of their black spider web things. I painted my dressers and desks (thrifted) and I also just collect larger poster things over time, these rooms are built not put up in a day. You can also usually find somewhere to print posters for cheap or print out like 200 photos for $20 on Shutterfly

I have a couch, a table, 2TVs, one microwave, 4 bookshelves, one over the toilet stand, metal plant stand, 2 rugs, 2 lamps, 10 records, and a shit ton of crafting supplies (I live in a college town) when they move out during exam week and over the summer I’m there in the dumpster

ayeee i also live in a college town, unfortunately I’ve never seen anything other than furniture which i do NOT trust😭 thanks for the idea tho ill keep an eye out!!
