second time doing goth makeup! im getting better but its still kinda messy bc i did it in a dark room and i couldnt wear my glasses ๐ญGoing off what youโve done so far here it seems you want a bit of a sharper look (correct me if Iโm wrong) so embracing your cupids bow instead of drawing over it might give you a more sharp look. I like to especially spike the tips of my cupids bow cause I love looking sharp and spikey. Iโve also found with contouring the forehead donโt go fully across and also dabble it lightly at the temples right in your hairline if you donโt wanna make everything scrunch inward. So easy to mess up with blac
Ok perf! I find it helpful to draw out a plan for mappings sake to make things seem less crowded or the terrible deal of getting your base right then screwing up on your shapes ๐ญ. Depending on the look youโre going for (e.i. Masc, fem, sharp, soft) you wanna change shapes and placement. Masculine looks are sharper and pull down more than up (heavy under eye, contouring below the cheek bone instead of above) feminine is more soft rounded shapes going up etc etc
Also if youโre wanting to keep your brows and bring them in I lightly take a brush with a small amount of black on it across the hairs and not really touching my skin to softly bring the brows back without making them look like theyโre 2016 block brows ๐ญ. Makeup is something Iโm super into so I love shoving my information onto people :)
no that was perfect! thank you so much! im def gonna screen shot this for later! also the cupids bow tip actually reminded me of my first try around! i do want to do that more too but i also have this pouty lip thing going on inspired by Cherry (studio killers) bc the ode to the bouncer video shaped me when i was a kid ๐ her design is so iconic it lives with me forever lolol
also thank you for the contouring tips!! thats the big thing im super uninformed on ๐ญ im bad at contour but hopefully it gets better with practice! i have bad eyesight lol but yeah i do like making my eyes sharper and my lips poutier kinda giving despair and toughness but im branching out with my makeup with the cupids bow!
Omg I was so into studio killers as a kid too! You might be able to achieve more of her pout if you concentrate color in the middle and smudge out the edges a bit kinda like a soft fade into your white base on your lips. Idk if that makes sense but I do something similar with my bottom lip cause my double lip line pisses me off sometimes. I use about face black eye paint but you could achieve it with eyeshadow if it interests you :)
So idk if this is the best example cause I did it super rushed with no base to blend it into, I also have a super defined cupids bow so I can never pull off the rounded look ๐ญ. But this is the idea, concentrated in the middle and lightly faded out into your white without leaving the lines of your lips. Gives the illusion of a more full pout because youโre focusing the middle. Think of a bee sting lip but not as harsh of lines :)
Hopefully that can give you the look youโre trying to achieve. Youโll have better luck cause you already have fuller lips and that sort of shape will suit them. Also if youโd like you can dm me if you have any questions or anything I love word barfing about this stuff lol
