
I mean it burns some calories but will also depend on your pace. it’s just healthy for you overall, I aim for at least 10k a day even in a growing phase. to lose weight you have to be in a calorie deficit. so if you’re eating at maintenance, and burning x amount of calories from walking, that does put you in a deficit so yes you can lose weight. it’s definitely more efficient to combine that with a slight deficit in calorie intake and strength training though
Ngl, walking 10k a day is a game changer for your health in general. Studies show it can help you live longer and recover better. Of course it’ll help with weight loss if you’re not walking much already. For me personally, I had a bad hip injury in my senior year of high school that’ll flare up some times after heavy lifting blocks, but if I maintain 10k steps daily, I feel like it keeps the hip feeling flexible and reduces any flare ups
