i really wanna start going to the gym but i have no clue what im doing and don’t wanna embarrass myself. i also like don’t wanna go alone at first? idk i get self conscious

I was so so anxious before going for the first time, my advice would be to just commit to doing something simple or something you know. I literally watched videos of how to use a treadmill before I worked up the courage to try it, I went and just walked on one a little and left. The next time, I walked around pretending I was looking for a water fountain and bathroom to check out everything. Also if you go youll notice everybody is doing their own thing and not looking at you
