I’ve been on a major cal deficit, hitting arms, legs, and abs on a fairly consistent every-other-day basis, only taking breaks for injury, and doing 30 minutes of high energy cardio per day for around two months…so far I have shed exactly one pound…help!

Did you take measurements because if you’re lifting heavy enough you could be building muscle and losing fat the scale isn’t going to be moving much

Honestly, do you struggle with your periods or hormones? Because PCOS can lead to your exact situation. Meet with your doctor and they can run a hormone panel for you and help figure out if anything is going on, because calorie deficit alone ALWAYS equals weight loss, especially if you’re going as hard as you claim to be

Are you 100% sure you are eating in a deficit ?

The deficit might be too low and that could possibly hurt your metabolism

What do your meals look like?

I’ve been tracking-I eat 1400-1500 calories per day at this point, 5’3 and (at present) 138 lbs. I occasionally slip to 1600-1700 because of the odd birthday party or social gathering with higher calorie snacks, but it’s definitely not an everyday occurrence since I stick to an extremely tight “clean eating” program atm.

I have been tested before and significant hormonal issues run in my family, but the doctors never found anything major, and all I was just told was to lose weight to deal with severe periods, fatigue, etc🫠

You might want to see a different doctor! Or if they continue to say nothing. is wrong, tell them to write “denying request for further investigation” or something along those lines in your chart/notes, it changes their tune REAL fast. If it knowingly runs in your family, any reputable doctor would definitely be able to find an underlying issue of either PCOS/Endometriosis or hormone imbalance of some kind

I stick to a whole food plan that’s heavy on legumes and white meat, with very small servings of carbs. Primary focus in on protein for the build benefits and fiber for prolonged fullness. No booze, no sodas, no sweets (unless I’m invited to a birthday or something and don’t want to appear rude) and pretty low fat intake as well.
