question: i’ve seen multiple things about not doing only cardio to lose weight, but weightlifting makes me anxious and all i really wanna do is lose weight… is weightlifting that important? bc if so then i’ll do it but i dont wanna if i dont have to

do both! weightlifting actually burns calories during and even after you’ve finished lifting bc your body is repairing muscle tissue. don’t be afraid of lifting, you might even come to like it. :)

Keep in mind that doing exercise in general is building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so focus on how you feel and if you want how you look rather than an arbitrary number

Weight lifting builds muscle. Muscle requires more calories to maintain than fat. Muscle is super good for you! Don’t be scared to get strong!! Don’t let them keep you weak
