Hi! I’m 5’2, 20 yo F, around 75 kgs/165 pounds. My bmi is around 30.2 so very barely obese but it’s so scary to think that. Just getting started. Any advice please? I know calorie deficit but how do y’all track accurately? What else worked? Thank you!!

as a fellow petite women, start your calorie deficit slowly. start by subtracting only like 100 calories but increasing your movement or your step count. us petite women just don’t burn as many calories a day as someone who is taller, but our bodies still need a skills amount of food, so if you’re wanting to lose fat it’s important to move more so that you don’t have to cut your calories so low. don’t ever go below 1400ish calories/ day because that can effect your body.

You and I are almost exactly the same, I started at about 175/80 and I’m down to 155/70 kg. I bought a cheap food scale to help track macros. I focused on protein and fiber to stay fuller since the deficit is so small. Also focused on getting 10k steps a day and doing something active every day, even if it was a 5min yoga video
