You're already slim, so focus on building up your ab muscles. Hypertrophy training is your friend here. I recommend hanging leg raises to failure and cable crunches. don't try to build your abs with isolation exercises like planks. it's a lot slower and less effective

Sorry, I misspoke. I meant isometric. Isolation exercises are great and exactly what she should be doing. Isometrics are not.
