Don't listen to #1 with PCOS that's a horrible idea. PCOS will slash your metabolic rate and undereating will throw your body further into starvation mode. Learn about insulin resistance, eating low glycemic index foods, keep a health journal and work to reduce blood sugar spikes Inositol is a great supplement to look into and some endos will give u diabetic meds for the insulin A common tip is eating your meals in the order of fiber->protein->carbs. Sounds crazy but works for many people!!

Just gotta eat less. I don’t mean to sound dismissive, but there’s just not that many variables when it comes to weight loss. It solely comes down to energy intake and energy expenditure. I’d recommend counting your calories for a week or so at least to give you a good idea of what you’re eating, because a LOT of people think they aren’t eating a lot and actually are.

Reduce stress and inflammation by all means necessary: i mean sleep, religion, meditation, yoga, weed literally whatever works for you. Elevated cortisol levels are killer & skew your hormones even more Your body's balanced ability to break energy from blood sugar vs fat is a super important health metric. Muscle tissue will help increase the rate of fat burn over time. Strength training is ur best friend! Use that increased testosterone to your advantage in improving your health and ability!

Tracking your macros is a great idea, don't worry all that much about caloric intake until your appetite stabilizes & you have a better idea of how blood sugar spikes impact your body. Lastly, be very patient! Imo adapting to PCOS is slowly coaxing your body out of the very strong hormone feedback loops its trapped in. Eat too little or get too stressed, & you might regress dramatically. Try not to get discouraged, your body is dealing with a lot!

Personally, I was gaining weight uncontrollably for three years until i managed to plateau for two. A great endo teaching me about insulin resistance and the PCOS hormones changed my life & my health has 180°d in the past 6 months. i tried metformin last year but quit after a month bc the side effects were crazy. i am down 15lbs on top of gaining hella muscle, just from weights & keeping a health journal to learn about what foods make me bloat

You are doing everything right, with PCOS there is just so much to learn!! Imo slow progress is key, your body is working really hard against hormonal imbalances. All of the diet things I'd recommend figuring out for yourself through a health journal, trial & error. But for the gym i cannot recommend strength training enough, muscle tissue will help passively burn though more of that excess fat over time and condition your body to be more efficient with energy!

i don’t have a gym i’m able to go to when i’m not in school so i’ve been trying to find different indoor workouts. i definitely want to work on strength training. my arms sometimes feel so weak so i need to build muscle💀
