how do you get into the habit of not comparing your progress to others? been in the gym 6x a week for over ~2 months and deficit but seeing some people with crazy progress in a little amount of time on social media 😭 having bad body dysmorphia help…

lets keep in mind social media is all posing, lighting, and the very best version of themselves… dont compare yourself to that

honestly the moment i stopped comparing myself to others and started comparing myself to myself, i was a whole lot happier. by that i mean taking progress photos and tracking how much stronger i get week by week and month by month. just focus on your own improvement and you’ll start to gain an appreciation for your body and your dedication to being active.

straight up makes me feel like i’m doing smt wrong but i know i need to chill out bc everyone’s journey is diff and it’s not linear

Tbh, get a trainer if you can. Takes out the personal responsibility aspect of it, you just get to train and stop worrying

Yeah, I’d say delete social media for a bit. That’s what I did when my body dysmorphia got bad and it really really helped me!

Someone will always be stronger or leaner than you. Everyone’s body, genetics, and journey are different. Just be a little better than your last month’s self, focus on what your body can do rather than what you look like.
