Does anyone have advice for getting back in the gym after gaining a ton of weight? Like a year and a half ago I made great progress but due to mental illness I’ve just been…not. Gained way more back and I just feel awful and need to get back at it

Honestly at first just show up and don’t worry about much else when you get there. Do some cardio and maybe use the machines a bit but just worry about making it routine before worrying about the nitty gritty of having the correct routine and all that.

All starts with how you are eating! Learn how to prep whole foods and make that your new palette. Eating right will make you feel better and motivates you for the gym. I would also recommend just moving your body in general. Start with hour walks and then in the gym keep movements simple!! Dont go crazy with the workouts, btw you totally got this. If you start now you can see progress with in 10 weeks, with discipline ofc!! Good luck

Yes. Wear your hat VERY low over your eyes. That gives me confidence or at least cover lol

This is real. Don’t come with a deep dive plan, doing an hour and a half every say of the week isn’t realistic. Literally just get there and mess around, get used to using equipment. Just start by showing up like they said
