Motivation comes from Effort. So rule out motivation, focus on baby steps that will build momentum for larger goals. The first step to becoming the person you want to be, is believing that you’re already that person

On a bigger scale, having clear goals in mind and having a treat (caffeinated drink, candy for carbs, etc) also keep me going on the hard days

And when I say hard days I mean HARD days but I also know that lifting is the only time I am pretty much *guaranteed* to escape my overthinking and depressive spirals
