silly question, when people say to burn more calories than you’re consuming (to be in a cut), are the calories burned only from activity? or are they also referring to a calculated amount of calories you naturally burn throughout the day?
Amount naturally burned for sure. Almost all of ur energy expenditure comes from basic bodily functions so cardio is only really a tool to increase ur total daily energy expenditure (besides all the other benefits)

Yep. So resting calories is like 1200-1300 so that's why you find the maintenance and cut 500 unless it dips below that range you need to survive
