Exercising does make me feel physically better, but I am in a foul mood literally every time I leave the gym

What’s your intake like pre & during the gym? I ask because I’ve found certain pre-workouts and food gives me a lingering vibe that isn’t conducive to the rest of the day.

I don’t take any pre-workout supplements. Before I went yesterday I had some water, a few slices of deli meat (turkey), and a leftover samosa I had in the fridge lol

Not to change too much about whatever works for you, but I’ve found distilled water works best not only for the gym, but a bunch of other stuff (I get electrolytes/minerals from other diet stuff) And something about processed meat, I figure my body has to produce a new enzyme for every chemical I’m digesting so the less processed, the better I feel over time. I honestly don’t know how you power through that but everyone’s gut bacteria is different.

Wait was that bad to eat before lifting weights?😭 I thought it would be okay because the turkey has protein and the samosa has carbohydrates and fat

No you’re right it has that, it’s the extra chemicals they use to preserve it and if you believe in the concept of food having a “solar charge” processed foods have zero, so it takes whatever a “solar charge” is from your body when it’s not fresh.

no, eating before the gym is good. your body needs fats and carbs to function. lifting fasted means you'll probably perform worse
