Hot take as someone who’s been lifting for years I don’t weigh myself

I advise people not to weigh themselves unless it’s for an upcoming show/fight. We fluctuate so much as far as water in different muscle systems, organs, etc, people often get discouraged because the numbers aren’t what they hoped and it’s like… go look at the mirror. In just 20 minutes of a solid pump, the water shifts to repair muscles and make them fuller, perkier, whatever. The scale says a similar number but the mirror says how you are seen.

Also flexing in the mirror burns carbs and creates neural development/control of various muscle systems. It’s its own kind of work out. Even if yall don’t fight/do shows, I highly recommend tracking progress via the mirror room of whatever gym yall go to.
