You can mitigate muscle loss with a strongly protein dominant diet and continuing to workout, but the only realistic way to lose fat is to be in a caloric deficit. Also in case you were wondering, the concept of targeting fat loss by exercising the muscles in that area is a myth. Fat distribution is determined by a combination of genetics and hormones

Well it’s not a full myth, like if u want abs you gotta eat well. But it’s also easier to have visible abs if you exercise those muscles so they’re bigger and will be more visible
