Japanese people are always wary of foreigners. But you have to expect that. Another ALT on the programme here is Black from South Africa and he loves it so much that he’s taught here for five years. Experiences vary greatly.

Also just an fyi another reason why he loves it so much is bc it’s not South Africa so he probably has a lot more freedom in Japan than in SA. Or he probably has poor Japanese and doesn’t know when ppl are talking about him
