Y’all I’m in crappy shape. 5’8 guy and 220lbs, none of it muscle. Advice for starting and getting in shape? I’d like to build muscle, get thick in a good way, and have a girl who wants to be married in 2 years so I have a deadline to meet

Start with just learning abt weight loss, actually sit down and study it, watch YouTube videos, find good weight loss recipes that are easy to make, find a fun cardio, you got this man!!!

Yea but you shouldn’t be lifting to get yourself a girl. That’s just a temporary goal. If you wanna lift long term, gotta set long term goals.

Start eating in a calorie deficit, not a ton but maybe eat like 500 or so less calories than what you currently eat while working out and doing cardio. As you see your weight loss slowing down after a little while of the 500 calorie deficit you can drop it some more but don’t drop it a lot at once.

Nah my goal is to be happy with myself and healthy, wanna not be embarrassed to take my shirt off. I already have a girl who’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me, so I’m using when I want to marry her as a deadline so I can look back at wedding pictures and be happy ab how I look

Long term, I want to be healthy and in shape to be with my family as long as possible, be a good role model for my future kids, and have an active and enjoyable life
