If I’m doing leg presses, I’ll leave at least a pair of 45’s cause that’s like a general starting point I guess for anyone, less to put on. But my god not wiping down equipment is NASTYYYYY

I prefer when people don’t wipe off machines weirdly enough (unless they are sweaty asf, a surprising amount of people aren’t). It leaves a slimy residue because regardless of how many times it’s been wiped down there are still trillions of particles of dead skin cells which, combined with the wipe, turns the entire machine slimy.

Everything in the gym is dirty as fuck. Shower when you get home and don’t be licking your fingers and you’ll be fine. Wiping shit down does extremely little, it’s got trillions of dead skin cells, bacteria, viruses etc. and most gyms have shitty wipes that are literally just scented and don’t do much else.

That’s not necessarily true, my gym keeps it freezing cold year round so generally pretty hard to sweat despite my intensity being pretty much all out.

You don't have to sweat to get a good workout in. If I'm only hitting an upper body day and it's cold out I'm not gonna sweat much
