Just started weight training today for my phys ed credit and I’m easily the most out of shape of everyone else there. I’m getting extreme gym anxiety bc I feel so out of place and I’m really nervous to work out around them, any tips to overcome it?

Further clarification every other person is extremely fit and I’m kinda chubby and haven’t worked out in over 5 years. I’m anxious everyone’s gonna judge how I can’t lift a lot right now or how little endurance I have and it’s been really eating away at me so I’m curious how all of you overcame that

If you are dedicated and working hard ppl will respect you. Doesn’t matter what u look like as long as you’re hustling. There’s always gonna be the fattest person in every room, trust that you’re making the best decisions just by taking the class
