Yeah people like to think there’s some magic trick but there really isn’t. EVERYTHING I do to build muscle is: Eat a balanced diet with adequate protein, adequate fat, and fill the rest with carbs while getting my micronutrients. Slight surplus when putting on mass, deficit when losing fat. Train hard 4 days a week on an upper/lower split. Enough volume to make good progress and not to hurt my recovery. Stay hydrated, get 8 hours of sleep, get my steps in every day, take creatine
Most people are willing to put in the work and a lot more people don't know how to put in the work. It also doesn't help that someone with great genetics and a fantastic physique is comparing themselves to roided up lifters online. Very very big difference between real life and online
I think part of it is that it’s almost human nature to look for shortcuts for things. The idea of innovation and that there is always a better, faster, and more efficient way to do something. The problem with that is, we’re the human body, not machines. Outside of injecting hormones, there’s really only so much we can do. The biggest hurdle for 99% of people reaching their goals is not how hard it is to do the steps, it’s just doing it every day and accepting that it isn’t an overnight change
