It still is you just need to measure CO2 released using complicated machines but it’s 100% accurate to your calorie expenditure
Obv nobody has access to that tho but if u do u know what to do

Would be a an insightful study for sure, like perhaps races in colder climates were genetically adapted to glean more from their food since life was not as viable in cold climates and they likely would not eat as often
