I’ve lowkey plateaued with my weight loss. Been fluctuating between the same 10 lbs the past few months and the only thing that’s starting to work is going into a deeper deficit (~1400 calories) but I am a 5’9 woman around 205 lbs.

Be careful cutting more calories, if you’re starting to feel like shit that’s a sign you need more food, even if the gains are nice

Not sure if it was bc the first ~40 lbs was just bc my routine switched up. It was so easy to lose that now I feel stuck

You need to eat less calories when you weigh less

the same way people take t breaks with drugs soemtimes you need to take breaks in a calorie deficient. the human body will adapt to the conditions it is under for long periods of time, meaning that your body has learned to function off of less food. eating at maintenance cals for 1-2 months then dropping down to a deficit again might be your best bet

I’ve been adjusting my calories. My cutting TDEE is 2196 right now and I’ve eaten around that for like 70-80% of the time. The other 20-30% is at maintenance. I’ve lowered it down to 1500 to see if a more drastic cut would help

I have also been lifting a lot more so not sure if I am just building muscle with it

Yeah you could be building muscle. You also could be underestimating the number of calories you're eating
