Does anybody else randomly get a burst of happiness and energy in the gym? Or just me?

why can this not be me?!!? I would go every day. If anything I get bursts of bitterness and resentment and regret and envy.

I do. I think it’s cause Ive been doing a set or two and then my preworkout is in my system. But also just cause I blast Disco or Eurodance music. Even when I’m sad, it’s like a pick me up.

I get happy when I can lift heavy, but then sad seeing guys w the body type I wish I had but don’t 😫

Yeah this is the problem. When i was insecure, the gym was really tough and i experienced hella envy and unconscious anger/negative feelings. As i got confident and lean, it became my favorite place and i often felt bursts of happiness and gratitude. Depends on how you perceive yourself ngl

I do truly envy people who genuinely find joy in exercise though. I’ve tried for years to no avail

I truly recommend getting lean at some point. It changed my life for the better across every single domain(except cold winters😭) , and once you do that the gym and your perceptions of lifting become much different and generally much more positive
