If you aren’t sore after, you either aren’t a beginner or you didn’t really do anything. When you challenge your muscles in new ways, DOMS are a given

Big difference between pain from an injury and pain from soreness. If you're training hard you should get sore, but an injury is entirely different and is not normal

If you’re a beginner you should absolutely expect some soreness lol. Even if you’re an advanced lifting, if you try out a new movement for the first time there’s a good chance you’ll be sore.

Agreed, but I think a lot of intermediates attribute their experience to not getting sore when in actuality they're not training hard enough/smart enough to make progress
