There are some ppl in the gym I wanna shake and yell 'EAT MORE PROTEIN'. I see them in there ALL THE TIME putting in so much effort, only for them to be tiny with 0 visible muscle. All the gains left on the table HURT to witness.

This^ or maybe they eat a lot of protein but too low calories or carbs so their energy stores can't keep up to build any muscle
