Guys it’s 2025 why are we still believing in toning, spot reducing fat, and 30 sets per workout?

It’s amazing how little the average person knows about working out. Until I joined the online fitness community a few years back, I honest to god thought no one knew for sure how weight loss happened and everyone just tried out different fads until something worked.

Because people are lazy, and being told “you just have to work hard, do 4-12 sets a week close to failure, and eat in a calorie deficit” doesn’t sit with them because people want shortcuts to fitness. Because of people wanting shortcuts, there will always be a market for shortcuts, and it doesn’t matter how bullshit those shortcuts are, people would rather follow the bullshit than accept that it’s not that complicated and they’ll just have to work hard.

I honestly think it’s the opposite. People think ordinary exercise can’t produce extraordinary results. They think there must be some secret or something most people aren’t doing. In reality, the main difference between an average physique and a great physique is time

there’s that too, people just being unwilling to accept that working out isn’t complicated, and there must be some greater depth to it to achieve these great physiques.
