Ok real talk - I listen to more male fitness gym influencers more than females. I’m not hating on my girls as I love them. BUT so many downplay and dumb down workouts being afraid of looking bulky which kills me inside 💔

This stems from women’s fear of looking too muscular when entering the fitness industry. They see all of the muscle head men that dominate it and think that traditional weightlifting will make them look like that. It’s lead to this idea that traditional weightlifting is how you exercise for a man’s physique, and training to be feminine is something entirely different. This is bullshit obviously, but it’s still very commonly believed and has given rise to scam artists to prey on this.

Exactly. It takes years of intense training, straight regime of diet, and discipline to get that bodybuilder bulky look. Lifting heavy weights (w cutting) has only made me look so much leaner as a girl nd this is why i fw male influencers as they don’t sugarcoat it and tell u train w intensity. You are limiting yourself from your dream physique by not strength training

It’s also practically impossible for the average woman due to testosterone v estrogen

Yeah lol I train because I want to get strong, have big muscles, and join the military. I don’t wanna be dainty or feminine (no disrespect to those who do, but it’s not my goal)

^^ They’ll sell a course on how to train for a traditional feminine physique, which in all practicality, is essentially just glorified cardio. In reality, feminine training is the exact same as masculine training. Hypertrophy to grow muscles, calorie deficit for fat loss. Only major differences are a tendency in the emphasis of muscle groups (lower body for women, upper for men) and that women typically don’t want to get massive.

^^ If you want a high quality fitness influencer who’s a woman, follow Kiera Wheatley

It really is disappointing how many women influencers are so okay just spreading misinformation to their audience (and when no offense, but they don’t even look like they workout, they just look skinny and like they have good genetics). Said it in another comment, but Kiera Wheatley is easily my favorite woman influencer. No bullshit, super high quality shit, understands biomechanics, just amazing. I’m a dude btw, but she’s still easily one of my favorite fitness influencers, her and Snitch.

This too. Even among the women that I see in the gym regularly and training with weights, they still all look very feminine lol. There are very few truly jacked women that I see, and getting that jacked as a woman is HARD. Hella impressive for them, but if a woman doesn’t want to look like that, they should not be scared of looking like that lol. It’s like being scared to pickup a basketball because you might accidentally become Lebron.
