how do y’all cut without getting anorexic? i tried cutting and got obsessed with it to the point where i ate 1000 cal a day (5 11, 195)

Track calories, and hit a specific goal, instead of just trying to minimize calories at all costs. Also trying to keep your protein up, especially through more normal protein sources, makes it hard to have a crazy calorie deficit going.

I’m sorry that you have dealt with that. Me personally I just don’t think about only calories I think about protein and vitamins and micronutrients as well and you really can’t get all of them easily with just 1000 calories so that will prevent you from under eating. I hope this helps!!!

yeah i just don't do cut and bulk cycles and never track calories 😅it's possible to gain muscle and lose fat slowly over time with mindful eating and prioritizing protein at most meals. if disordered eating is an issue for you i would suggest long term healthy goals, and not short term aesthetic goals because that leads to obsession and eating disorder spirals which can threaten your health and even your life. so not worth it (trust me)

no i mean like i make a plan and then just forget to eat all the time
