It’s because people tend to value you more when you are actively taking care of your wellbeing. If you don’t respect yourself why would you assume others would too. A smile and friendly can only do so much

The thing is I was smaller and then gained 60 lbs in 2 years and then lost a good chunk of weight. I still did the same things I did before like hike and snowboard. It’s little things like having the door held for me or people making eye contact

I’m not saying that. I am saying that how you take care of yourself matters. If you are dirty or don’t brush your teeth people will treat you worse. Same difference. Not saying it’s the best thing ever but it’s how we are
