They are wearing clothes. Just because it’s not to your personal standard of clothes doesn’t mean it isn’t clothes. If you’re so bothered by athletic wear, then don’t go to the gym.

Men work out shirtless what’s the issue here? Just say your brain is perverted and rotted by porn that instead of going to the gym to work out you’re distracted by women wearing literal gym shark wear

It got taken down bc it was a stupid and incorrect thing to say. Men are shirtless, people are sweaty, it’s a hot room, women go there to focus on working out and dress accordingly. They don’t wear layers to peal off cuz they’re working hard !! No need to carry around a sweatshirt when you could just… wear what is comfortable to work out in? What gets me is I’m sure you’re the same type who complains about women only gyms too. While being objectifying…

When people are pressed about opinions like this, it normally means you’re right. Women’s gym shorts are the equivalent of men’s underwear, and they can wear a sports bra, together they have more clothes off than on. If I showed up to the gym in the same outfit women do I’d be kicked out shits so wack 😂

They are not many public gyms that allow men to workout shirtless not to mention if a man wore any of the shorts woman do he’d be removed immediately 😭 not all athletic wear falls into this category but there is some stuff that’s too far especially when minors go to the gym too

There absolutely is too far. I’ve seen a woman in my gym workout in a thong bikini, and like, okay, that’s ridiculous, and she was rightfully kicked out. To think that’s even remotely comparable to shorts and a sports bra is fucking insane.

I completely disagree. Not only do I see men shirtless all the time, allowed or not, but also they wear short shorts, tiny tank tops, string tops, cut offs, whatever. And it’s fine—it doesn’t bother me bc I’m not a freak and idc how they work out??

Well IMO it’s tricky a regular sports bra and shorts is fine too me but the sizing and cut make a difference and some people got junk hanging out of everywhere that’s kinda where I draw the line personally but unless it’s specifically not allowed from the rules of the gym not my choice

Maybe because his whole ass dick print would be visible? I can do the same thing, if a dude wore a loose tank top with no bra in the gym nobody cares, but if a woman does it, she gets kicked out. And yes, too far exists. A sports bra and shorts is not too far.

Women ≠ Men. Men are inherently lustful in tons of nasty ways. Women showing up to the gym in skin-tight clothes that show the indent of their ass crack are clearly drawing men into looking at them. The men are wrong and responsible for creepy looks, but the women are just as responsible for unnecessarily dressing that way.

upvote -4 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 14w

So it’s women’s fault because men can’t control themselves? You sound like the kinda guy that would ask “but what was she wearing” when a woman is assaulted. Also, women wearing that don’t give a fuck if they draw a few eyes. They understand that part. They only have a problem if somebody is being an actual creep.

The standard of “if it upsets people it’s probably right” is so fucking stupid lmao. You would be kicked out because your dick and balls would be pressing against the shorts. In the same way, if you wore a loose tank top with no bra, nobody would care, but if a woman did, she’d be kicked out. It’s almost like we have different anatomy and our bodies shouldn’t be treated exactly the same.

It used to be pretty normal for people to be naked all the time. In tribal times skirts and loins were brought up but exercise was still performed with the chest exposed. The only reason men are allowed to show their chest and women aren’t is because of misogyny 🥀 not that hard to understand. Boobs are sexualized and that’s why it’s such an issue to see them

You are too sensitive to be in these environments. I’m sorry. You need to stay away from gyms, pools, beaches, running paths, basketball courts, etc. These are *public* places where modesty is put aside for the purpose of function—sweat, comfort, feeling good, staying cool, agility, what have you. It’s clearly too much for you (even tho it’s legal and doesn’t harm you), so just work out at home or find a more modest space

it’s not misogynistic to say it’s gotten kind of crazy, I see other girls at my gym leave cooch sweat on machines bc their biker shorts are that thin. running shorts are easy to find and don’t show every inch of both cheeks! I think men wearing tight shorts is equally gross, I do not want to see balls in the gym. you’re confusing misogyny with having a different opinion than you

upvote 5 downvote

you’ll still get sweat when you use thin fabrics, and most athletic wear is so you don’t get more hot and sweat more. biker shorts risk riding up or showing too much depending on what kind of workout your doing. and this is why we wipe after using machines! also they’re called biker shorts, they’re nice for doing cardio. workout at home if it bothers you so much.

for some things like sports bras, yes. but no one is wearing those biker shorts explicitly marketed as “booty lifting” for any reason other than attention. that is literally the entire point - they are designed specifically to draw attention to it, no ifs ands or buts, and they are EVERYWHERE. that’s where I personally draw the line

It’s often not for attention, it’s to just look good. I’m a man, and I dress to be attractive all the time. Not to garner the attention or gaze of anyone, but because I feel better when I’m confident in my appearance. Same with women, clothes that accentuate the bodies they work for make them feel good. Women dress like that in women’s only gyms too, which I think is clear proof it’s not for attention. Some people just like looking good.
