i’m a really skinny girl (5’7 and 100 pounds) trying to gain weight, through a high caloric intake and protein intake paired with the gym, but I never do cardio because i’m afraid of it making me lose weight. can i do cardio and still be able to gain?

Cardio is just the balance if you’re already on a bulk, also helps to maintain your endurance

when should i do cardio to optimize weight gain? i know cardio after a workout is best for fat loss so i avoid that

You can do cardio first if you want to avoid losing fat, but you may have less energy for your workout if you do cardio for more than a small period, Im only suggesting a small cardio session first since you want to have enough energy to still get a full lift

I like to run after since im on a weight loss goal rn, other than that I don’t do much cardio on lifting days, since I play basketball which is more than enough cardio
