Not letting people work in period is fucking ridiculous. You don’t own the equipment, and it is at worst, a minor inconvenience for you. Idc if I’m only doing 2 sets, if someone asks to work in, they can work in.

I've been lifting in public gyms for nearly three years now and I've been asked to work in maybe twice. Is this a problem yall actually see with regularity or is it something yall hear about or imagine could happen?

That’s not controversial

It’s much more common in crowded college gyms

It only really happens in my college gym, since it’s pretty much always busy. Doesn’t help that there are about 40 treadmills and only 1 preacher curl machine in the entire gym

oh I always let people work in with me. I can somewhat understand if you do quick workouts and don't want to be bothered. But if you take your time, I'm working in

College rec centers are always packed so it's pretty common. I've only ever had like 2 people refuse to let me work in

the audacity to not let someone work in pisses me off so bad. You don’t own the gym, and it’s going to cost you an extra 30-60 seconds max to save someone else a lot of time. So stupid

Plus if you're doing it right then you should be resting for 2+ minutes between sets so it makes no difference to let others work in
